The Beginning of 24 ICE

What could be better than a refreshing ice pop on a hot summer day?
Now imagine that ice pop made from real cocktails… with 5% alcohol.

That simple idea sparked the creation of 24 ICE in 2014 in the Netherlands. The founders wanted to take the classic ice pop and turn it into something a little more exciting for adults.

Of course, creating it was easier said than done. Alcohol freezes at a lower temperature than water, so developing a liquid that could freeze in a standard freezer (-18°C) was a real challenge. Behind the scenes, the team worked tirelessly to perfect the recipes.

Eventually, they succeeded — creating the first range of six Frozen Cocktails, each containing 5% alcohol. And just like that, the beginning of many colorful summers was born.

Today, 24 ICE has become a hit at festivals and events around the world, where the ice pops are sold fully frozen and ready to enjoy. The products are also available in liquid form through webshops, liquor stores, supermarkets, and specialty shops for anyone who wants to freeze and enjoy them at home.

Since those early beginnings, 24 ICE has expanded to more than 20 countries worldwide, including Ireland, Norway, and Taiwan — with more markets on the horizon.

And now… South Africa joins the list.
